Everyone depends on oil. It isn't being called 'black gold' for no reason. Our very existence as humans is centered around oil. The need for it has fueled many wars and ruined many lives yet we can't stop depending on it. Oil spills have not only destroyed some people's source of livelihood, it has also killed millions of animals and fishes, ruined beaches and farmlands, destroyed nature and also make our planet less habitable.

The big oil multinationals with their deep pockets have special departments to suppress news like this. For our planet to survive, we have to shift our dependency from oil and develop other sources of energy that is far cleaner than oil.
