A Poor Girl With Breast Cancer Reached Out To The World For Help.... What happens after might leave you in tears

Unknown - 2:15 PM
I read about Debbie's condition sometime in 2012 and knowing that I couldn't help her since I was broke myself, I made sure I shared her story with as many people as I knew across social the social media. Thankfully, a lot of people got to read about her too and many shared her story. Donations poured in and Debbie, who'd almost given up hope had enough to travel to the USA for treatments.
The cancer that threatened to end Debbie's life as now made her into a better person, a livelier person than she ever was. Debbie was able to overcome cancer because of people like you and I and because she didn't stop fighting.

Here are some of Debbie's picture as she fought cancer and when she became cancer free...

At first, all hopes seemed lost

Then people rallied round to give Debbie a second chance

The #weStandByDebbie campaign was a success and Debbie traveled to the US for treatments

Debbie was ready to fight and fight she did

Treatment was painful but our Debbie was determined to fight on

With support from a few cancer support groups like African Women Cancer Awareness Association, Zuriworks For Women's Health, Dare to Courage and SEED, Debbie was able to smile yet again

Go Debbie!

Debbie kicked cancer's butt

Debbie's story shows how much we as a people can collectively give hope to those who need it in the society. Debbie was poor and coming from a place where there wasn't an affordable and very good healthcare facilities, Debbie reached out to ordinary people like her and they helped give her hope. Her story put a smile on my face. I hope it did for you, too.

Cancer is a very terrible disease and more awareness is needed to make people understand it better. Share Debbie's story below with your friends and family and you just might give hope to someone in dire need of it. You can also like us on facebook for more inspiring stories.
